Exactly. When it comes down to it, Flower's innings rarely contributed to Zimbabwe winning or saving a match. Harsh, but true, when you consider that the team result is the most important thing.Significant innings?
Although I didn't mention it beforehand, Laxman actually did it at Kolkata in 2001. But it is a very rare achievement.I think Flower's the first case of two great innings in a match? What a player.

I think he'll miss out.No Younis Khan yet!
(and lara)Completely forgot Flower when I asked that question. I was thinking Steve Waugh and Border
Can't think he will with that average and number of tons.I think he'll miss out.
Is this to me?Flower got all his runs in that South Africa game at five instead of three or four though, so it doesn't really count.
Not really. Just mindless ramblings if I'm honest. Carry on.Is this to me?
There would be more Pakistanis than Indians in the top 40. That thought is killing me.Nah no way re: Younis Khan. The players around the 100 mark had an adjusted average from around 41 to 45 and they all had lower career points to what Younis will have too. He is a certainty and should be named in the next 5 picks. Its funny though, I never really feared Younis, Inzy and Yousuf individually or as a combo - I don't think any of them would make my top 40 tbh.
Maybe for your sake, don't worry about the top 40 and just focus on the top 20 or 25.There would be more Pakistanis than Indians in the top 40. That thought is killing me.
