*Official* Second Test at Lord's

Come on Westwood. Having a granny putter choker like Scott win two majors in a single year would be just too much. And an American not winning is always a good thing.

Not a terrible call by the umpire at all - no sympathy for any idiot who pads up to a ball pitching middle and leg. It might have missed leg by the thickness of a rizla, but Haddin made a huge error of judgement.
Never understood that line of judgement tbh.

This is embarrassing from Australia. At least in 06/07 we managed to put together some decent batting scores

Yeah, might as well give batsmen out when they play and miss by masses if that's your argument. Haddin could turn around and say he judged it perfectly if it was only just missing.

Indeed, its a really hard watch, galling for him if he doesn't do it, i don't think he will now even though Scott is trying to repeat last year, looks like Mickelson and you can't really begrudge him it.

Just go back to the old ways when umpires actually paid attention and made their decision through judgment Umpiring is getting worse ever since the introduction of DRS. One mistake and they are under pressure from both teams and therefore feel the need to check everything with the 3rd umpire. Ruins the game and is not worth the hassle

You clearly lack a basic understanding of conclusive proof. If the decision is out all the 3rd ump needs is any evidence to back it up for it to stand. Hill heard a clear edge so he UPHELD the original decision. Simple.
If a clear edge does not show up on hot-stop then why at all use it, there have been numerous occasions in the past where due to a lack of a nick on hot-stop batsmen have been judged not out (even in cases when there was some sound), some umpires take that sound into consideration and some don't while making their decisions, hence there are no clear guidelines there, which makes decisions made through DRS as bad or good as the umpire making these initial decisions. For example if Hughes were to be given not out, then there is a very good chance Hill would have upheld the on-field umpire's decision.

EXACTLY. Therefore the system works fine, its about eliminating howlers and that wasn't a howler. It was a marginal edge the umpire gave out. What about this aren't you getting?

I'd go Bell MOTM.

Ha. Boycott advocating Ballance to replace KP for the next test

Then says Taylor simply too small to be a test cricketer. Then says he has no shots which is the funniest comment of the lot given the stuff he normally says.
