*Official* Second Test at Lord's

So England fans......what do we do about Finn??

Thoughts??
Depends on the pitch IMO. If its anything like that at TB then they go with the guy they think can keep things tight. I would say that's Bresnan, but I've not seen him bowl much...

I hope the pitch has a bit more to it. It'll bring Broad and Swann into the game as well as Finn.

Hopefully Finn will go away and develop the tools his bowling needs to deal with bowling on slow low pitches like at TB. With any luck it'll be the making of him because he has all the attributes to be a superb bowler for England.

Since debut, Watto (42 Tests) has missed 52 Tests. Aus have won 65.4% of those, but only 45.2% of the 42 he has played.
Stats like this are always misleading.

Post 2005 England had a much better record without Flintoff than they did with him, but a lot of that would have been down to Flintoff missing easier series and playing in tougher ones.

Disagree. They had a worse record with him pre-2005 too. England were always a weaker team with him batting at 6

Monty and Ben Stokes too. I have to say, I'm not at all confident if Ben Stokes is in line for the number 6 spot.

Yeah, well Stokes can only be thought of, if they're thinking of going with two spinners. Yet he can't bat which is a problem for a 6.

Tremlett, looking horrible to face, has just bowled Jonathan Trott in the nets at Lord's.

But Twatto narked on Warner the first opportunity he got.

This is better than Game of Thrones. Will make for an amazing story, preferably by Paul Barry.
Don't see how that's relevant, Watson strikes me as the sort to step on his own grandmother if there's gains to be made for Shane Watson.

He was absolutely dreadful in his first Ashes series. I mean he really stunk. Pathetic. In his second series he'd improved to being crap. His third series he was good, and now at the beginning of his fourth, he's very, very good.
If you are going to lay the boot in that hard about his first couple of Ashes series at least give him a bit of credit for his success, he was more than just 'good' last time, he was excellent, averaged 66 and was in supreme knick the whole tour.

The story leaked to the press a few weeks ago re Watson telling on Warner is that Watson and Arthur were in a meeting, and Watson raised his homework thing to the previous nights events, exposing to Arthur what had happened, and that Watson did not reveal the events in a malicious way and thought Arthur already knew. but who really knows

disappointed with Root there re Finn bowling to him and Root defending.
