*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

It was a good innings, but the highlights package that they showed in the lunch break showed nothing but edges through slips. There must have been a dozen of them.
He was deliberately playing the ball to third man a lot. I commented in here at the time that it was a risky ploy and that the bowlers wouldn't mind him doing it, but it was definitely deliberate.

Is it just me or has Anderson been bowling around the wicket to left handers a lot more in recent times?

It really does seem like the first session of the day is by far the best for the bowlers in this test. It seems to settle down quite a bit in the second and third sessions.

Ah ok I was only half watching it. Doing so was probably a safe ploy given the bounce that this pitch is not offering the bowlers.

This pitch has been as bad as a subcontinental pitch for bounce. It's ridiculous that balls on day 1 were not carrying to the slips. Makes for a bad pitch really.

It's been the most interesting and exciting test I've seen in ages. I know it's eye of the beholder and all, but you've had quicks taking wickets, batsmen working hard for their runs but being able to score them and bowlers having to work hard to get blokes out. Don't see the problem with it at all.

If it was green, the way these two sides bat ATM it would have been over by Friday morning.

England still strong favourites. It is just about breaking this partnership. They can run through the middle and lower order in good time, imo. I back Finn to get the breakthrough.
