This may have already been discussed and I may be 20thC in my cricket but why does Broad have shoulder pads in his shirt?

How many Aussies on the pitch suggested Trott nicked the ball yesterday and invited him to remain at the crease?

Took a blow in the first innings from Pattinson which restricted his bowling in Australia's innings. Guess it's just extra protection.

During the first innings he got hit in the shoulder by a bouncer which debilitated him enough to keep him off the field for the rest of the day when England bowled and out of the attack for ages the following day as well. Obviously it's still a bit sore so he's given himself some padding there to prevent a repeat.

Think it's hilarious just quietly.

It has to be said that batting looks reasonably easy out there. No demons in the pitch.

Everyone happy with 275 being a good lead?

the answer to the question you're dying to hear: would I have walked?

Depends on where the sheds are/where the players are hanging out. I mean, if they are straight behind me, I would have 'walked' in that I would have just assumed such an obvious nick has been given and walked off. If they were in front of me and I'd seen the umpire hasn't given me, i would not have walked. Glad we got that sorted.

ps

that was bell's stupid dismissal. but he didnt get out. so does he ton up...?

just gonna claim this
