Chance to play Champions League football though isn't it??

That's not exactly a given, they've only made the group stages once in the past four seasons. Last year they lost in qualifying and didn't even make the Europa League.

Besides, most English people just kinda forget that Scotland exists in football these days. Look at how many random keepers get called up to the England squad before Fraser Forster. If a Prem club is interested that's clearly the better option. You don't improve playing curb-stomp games every week.

Champions League football isn't guaranteed, and the standard of football up here is seriously, seriously bad.
