I can't hate a club when their manager used to play for us. Wonder how long it takes till it is mentioned he scored twice in a win at Maine Road for Shrewsbury?

Bayern Munich apparently.

Can't see it though.

In other news, Cevno, why are you banned from Red Cafe?

Can't see he'll be short of offers, he's easily a 20 goal-a-season striker up-front, and he's versatile too.

First big test of the new regime, can they keep him if they want too, and will they avoid selling him to a rival in England, something Fergie never did, or not often.

Told one of the moderators to **** off in as many words, and he banned me for a month. Due to the heavy traffic that's the way that place has always worked. Are you a member there?

As for Rooney he hasn't been worth his massive wages for a while now. If he wants to leave for a 2nd time isn't worth the hassle trying to keep him again.

Bayern, Chelsea are said to be interested. PSG will be too probably with Zlatan looking to leave.

I genuinely don't get this, he's just not the calibre you want, or style of football. Honestly they may as well have gone for Big Fat Sam.

Who knows though, I've been proved wrong many times before.

It is a strange appointment, but I suppose it may yet work out. In a sense there's no reason to expect it to end badly, because Moyes is basically untested in this sort of role, but we will see.

Out of all the managers in the world who would have been interested in taking the job, would Moyes really have been the board's top choice? I just find that somewhat hard to believe.

It's clearly been lined up for a while though so you have got to have thought he is the first choice, does not make it any less strange though. Moyes probably deserves a shot at a bigger job but this is a really big step up.

Six year deal. **** me.

Well, he'd never have been my first choice (or second, or third) but he'll have my full support to prove me wrong.

Its almost entirely out of Fergie's recommendation you'd think, he knows the guy fairly well.
