As much as Clarke/Arthur hate Uzi they, or at least Arthur, seem to love Maxwell. Wouldnt surprise me if this was a predetermined plan to get Maxwell runs to justify his Ashes spot.

Yeah, was a bit surprised to see it happen. First thought it was idiotic then thought it possible the team reckoned his best chance of getting runs was to get away against the new-ball no matter who was bowling.

Which would be idiotic.
