Who else was going to captain if Clarke wasn't fit? You mightn't like it but it was going to happen. I mean Wade as vc means there are worse outcomes. Hopeful for Smith but still don't think he's a test bat. Happy to be converted into a believer though. Yeah that was particularly poor.

Good that he had the idea to move his feet (despite not being the ball to do so), but when you know you're not at the pitch you just have to play straight, get something in the way of the ball. Just didnt offer enough bat.
