Good solid start to the reply from Pakistan here, going at a run a ball and the loss of just Jamshed is the ideal platform. The type of innings' played by Younus Khan and Misbah will be crucial here.

Just as I type Akmal snicks one through to AB attempting an uppercut shot.

Backing Misbah to play an outstanding innings here, unlikely to be enough, but reckon he holds the key.

Younus gone, chopped on, massive blow.

Yes I know he had to drag it back quite a way from his earlier performances, perhaps my surprise is more about Tsotsobe being well under five an over. Maybe I don't give Tsotsobe enough credit, but I really don't see him as a bowler capable of causing such problems for the opposition.
Agreed

Just looks like a floaty medium fast nothing bowler to me

Whenever I see him bowl, I dread to think what Hayden and Gilchrist would've done to him and can imagine them strolling down the pitch and depositing him several rows back on a regular basis

Obviously more to him than I give him credit for

I often think Misbah should actually come in later than he does. He's known for his slow scoring rate, but he can actually hammer the ball miles when he puts his mind down to it. His problem is more to do with a failure to rotate the strike, so when he's in the middle overs and needs 6-7 an over he struggles. I reckon he'd be better off just needing 8+ an over and going for it.

Yeah; it's why he can really be a good T20 player at times despite having poor Test and ODI strike rates.

Well this will be entertaining. When you have Misbah and Afridi in as the last two genuine batsmen, you're either going to get some fireworks or some quick wickets. They're going to want to get a stack of runs as quickly as possible. Either way, I hardly see the next 5 overs being boring.

Feel for McLaren tbh. Half an inch away from winning his side the game there, now the overs gone for 18 with a couple of balls left.

Man I love Afridi, just can't help it. He rarely plays this kind of knock but because he can you are always hoping he does it when he bats. Wafg he is.
