If a specialist bat was auditioning for his spot this Test they'd be considered the long-term option. Good stuff.henriques for number 4

Yeah, but the sad thing is he's still better than the players that have replaced him!! .You do realise that Ponting was utterly **** for about 3 years before he retired, dont you?
it's a shame he always looks much worse against pace. get it together boiIf a specialist bat was auditioning for his spot this Test they'd be considered the long-term option. Good stuff.
I wouldn't be against them making up some bull**** excuse and ****ing off to mauritius for a couple of monthsright now i wouldn't be against making hughes keep and bringing in smith
This thread isn't about Darren Bravo so i don't know why we're even talking about him, but the fact is his test average speaks for it's self and only Clark in this Australian side has better, it's that simple. He'd average 12 in Shield cricket so he would never have had a chance to show his wares in tests.
Is Hughes a keeper for his domestic side?right now i wouldn't be against making hughes keep and bringing in smith
what did he say?it'll be interesting if we get a second innings.
dont reckon lyon pitched one ball where the one from ashwin landed either

has a team been bowled out with no overs from seam bowlerswhat did he say?
Henriques' talent has never been in question and he has a good techniqueHenriques has played well, sure. But he still averages 30 in FC with 1 hundred. And now Aus are pretty much stuck with him for the series as they can't really drop him when most of the other batsmen have performed so badly. Sure he may have a good series. But more likely to be a Shaun Marsh type who played above himself to begin with before reality caught up. Just saying
Didn't Ponting and Hussey play against SA though? and an inspired Cummins spell is what made the difference in the away series, he's not around right now though, i also disagree about Dhoni, Lyon kept bowling him pies and Dhoni took full advantage of it, those quality bowlers you named would never have let him get away with some of the risks he was taking.Hahaha wow no need to worry about Aus champ, this is the same team which had won 12 and lost just 3 of its previous 18 Tests and has been the only side to cause big problems for SA both home and away...and those Tests were played in the sort of conditions we will confront in the Ashes, not dustbowls.
It always amuses me when people start writing the obituaries of teams based on one Test. India have done very well here and deserve to win. But at 7-370 yesterday the match was dead even until Dhoni played like superman. If not for that Aus would now have a lead and India would be facing a nasty chase on what would have been a **** of a pitch tomorrow.
Every now and then you run into a performance like what Dhoni put up yesterday and so you lose the match. It doesn't mean your side is suddenly useless. The way Dhoni batted yesterday it wouldn't have mattered of our attack was Steyn, Philander, Ajmal and Swann...he would have carted anyone.
