Is that Robbie Frew? Used to play for Canterbury many, many moons ago if it is.Anyone know much about the Canterbury Country Lineup?
AR Andrews, TWG Hills, DH Fulton (c) (wk), MR Laffey, AW Robertson, RM Frew, LD Bartholomeusz, G Foulkes, WSA Williams, DWT Fleming, SG Chamberlain
I assume Fulton will be a key wicket.
Nice write-upDuck for Joey Yovich today. After 2 centuries before Christmas, he hasn't scored many and at age 36 this may have been his last game.
I recall seeing him as an 18-19 year old playing for ND, nippy seamer getting good bounce, clean striking left hander batsmen, remarked to my mate that he would be the next Hadlee. Didn't quite turn old that way, but he's been part of an experienced ND side that has won more than it's share of silverware.
Three State Shield final wins show the way his career changed. In 2002/03 he was an opening bowler who knocked the top of the Auckland innings, dismissing Matt Horne and Mark Richardson in his first two overs, and from 3-18 they didn't recover. In 2004/05 he was an all rounder, a useful 17 (28) helped ND to 190, and took 3 wickets as ND won by 20 runs. In 2008/09, he was a lower order batsman and his 78* (76) was the highest score of the game.

Meanwhile in ND, Brad Wilson keeps his spot with a mighty average of 23,You sure live life on the edge saying that about a guy that averages 19 this season
Just on the bowlers. Does it scare you because you don't think they're any good? Or because its the same old, same old?It scares me that the top wicket takers in the plunket shield this season are;
Brent Arnel, Mark Gillespie, Ian Butler and Ryan McCone. It especially scares me that Ryan McCone has 37 wickets @ 20 this season.
It sacres me that the top three run scorers in the plunket sheild this season are Aaron Redmond, Peter Fulton and Michael Papps.
Birghtsides - Ben Wheeler has 16 wickets @ 21, Jeet Raval 750 runs @46
