Back to the dot-dot-single-dot-single routine so that SA can find itself in a comfortable position of 55 required off 25 balls with 4 wickets in hand?

Power play takes a wicket immediately. Batting PP is so good for the bowling side.
You know, nothing prevents captains to set a PP field when restrictions are not on...

It's not just the field, it's largely the mindset change which screws with the batsmen imo.

Yeah I find that this whole 'Oh we're in the PP we need to get at least 50 runs from it' is massively overrated, just like the strategy 'let the run rate climb, we'll have wickets in hand so that we can slog later'. Is it too much to plan for a steady run rate throughout the innings without leaving it all to the PP and the last five overs?

Still, no reasons for captains not trying to be a bit more aggressive with their field placements, expecially when they've nothing to lose.

Behardien out soon enough, SA might still have hope

Good catch!

Willimason bumped into Smith (btw, that's a mile outside leg), only because Smith turned arond to bring back his bat in. What if that caused a drop? Just unlucky?

As long as the batsman wasn't deliberately trying to impede the fielder, it's perfectly fine.
