What are commentators going on about when they said SL don't play enough tests so can't concentrate?

SL is playing their 10th test this year, SA & NZ also have 10, while Australia is playing their 11th

Edit: India and WI only have 9

I thought it's pretty much understood that most commentators don't bother to do any sort of research about the players playing or the team. They just rock up to the commentary box every morning and hope people will buy their usual cliche ridden bull****.

4 tests against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe....

It should be noted they cancelled a 3-Test series against South Africa because of the SLPL (T20 tournament) and don't want to travel to Pakistan for another 3-Test match series.

Given they're spectacular minnow munchers they can all get their averages up again.

Well at least Mahela can retire with a test average over 50 and if those tests are away, an away average closer to 40 than 35.

Talk is Dilshan and Samaraweera will retired after this series and Mahela after Bangladesh which I think is at home. Sangakkara may hang around for another year or so.

I would back Bangladesh to beat us the way we are playing.
