This seems quite conclusive, so we needn't drag it out too much longer.

However, I am surprised that Zaheer Abbas didn't get more votes as he was the Cricinfo No.3 in the their ATG Pakistan team.

the best pakistani line-up needs to have all of inzi, miandad, abbas and younis in the team. along with saeed and hanif. and imran coming in at 7. on certain pitches you would have someone like mushtaq mohammad coming in at six. pakistans five best bowlers are-were pacers and there isnt really any room for a spinner except in exceptional circumstances.

There are plenty of Saqlain Mushtaq fans on CW for very good reason. But whether a specialist spinner makes it into the team may depend on where Imran bats - No.6 or No.7.
