Yeah it feels like they're all clamouring for air time because there's three of them together. I don't know about others, but it definitely ruins the cricket for me when they're talking as the ball is being bowled. Just shut the **** up then please! That's got much worse with three in the commentary box at once. Much worse.
Agree..add the occasional bias he is truly awfulIan Chappell is cringe-worthy. Unlike 70% of commentators, he actually analyzes the game but usually it's either terribly cliche or reaction-ist, village idiot stuff.
Agree with this, the days of Gavaskar and Shastri taking all the overseas jobs when India tour are over. Dravid would be a fine addition to any team worldwide.Dravid has been excellent on TMS. Objective and intelligent.
Coney doing TMS in the NZ tour so Sky must be taking him out as part of their team. He is very good, not afraid of saying it as he sees it but gives good critical observation about everything he says. Also praises whoever deserves it whatever side they are from. It is funny though when he goes off on one about a player doing something stupid.Worst for me, Danny Morrison. Favourite, Jeremy Coney. Wish he was still a regular!
O Keefe, Maxwell and Agnew (during the Ashes 2010) are amazing..Love the ABC Radio commentary team - O'Keefe, Richards, Mitchell and Maxwell (I think they're the other two) are great.
"Oh shut up Mark Nicholas" is probably my most-used sentence whilst watching games on TV though - can't stand his pompous waffling and ass-kissing
As a presenter or host, I quite like him. As a commentator, I don't like him as much. But he's ok.Nicholas is way under-rated for mine. Yeah, he's still prone to go 'gaga' far too often when certain batsman (you know who) play the easiest shot in the world, but his analysis the majority of the time is worth listening too.
Dravid does have a sense of humour; on Sky last summer Ian Ward interviewed him immediately after the final Test and asked Dravid what went wrong with India during the series - Dravid just laughed and responded with "have you got half an hour?".Dravid is really good. Wish he did not look as if life was a pain in the ass. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that he would have been one of India's finest captains if he had just a hint of a sense of humour as well.
There are so many good commentators from England and Australia but Boycott is a personal favourite as is Chappell. Nasser Hussain was a real revelation. One ex English cricketing great I don't much care for behind the mike is Sir Ian
Oh, yes the guy has a very sharp sense of humour... met him once in 2000 and he can definitely be funny.Dravid does have a sense of humour; on Sky last summer Ian Ward interviewed him immediately after the final Test and asked Dravid what went wrong with India during the series - Dravid just laughed and responded with "have you got half an hour?".
Would there be any chance of O'Keefe et al going to Channel Ten if it somehow managed to snaffle the rights from Nine, as was mooted last week?Love the ABC Radio commentary team - O'Keefe, Richards, Mitchell and Maxwell (I think they're the other two) are great.
I don't see why they wouldn't go for him. Skull has done some TV work before.Would there be any chance of O'Keefe et al going to Channel Ten if it somehow managed to snaffle the rights from Nine, as was mooted last week?
