I reckon wicket-to-wicket slightly full of good length bowling here would actually do well.

Enland on the other hand have bowled either a freebie outside off stump or a long hop pretty much every over.

Swann on.
Pitch map would comprehensively back your point. The bowlers havent hit any sort of consistency in line or length.

Just want Sehwag to get past the 50 mark - He has 32 fifties, 22 hundreds and 15 150+ scores.

Makes it count more often than anyone in world cricket once he's in but gets out in the 20s and the 30s way too often.

Well this has been dire, well worth getting up for. Both these two should be looking at tons here, pitch is flat as anything. Should have played Monty instead of the 3rd seamer but that was never going to happen.

Gambhir needs to stop being overly innovative against Swann and just wait for the bad ball. They're coming often enough anyway.

Would head to bed, but I feel like i'm committed now. I've got to get to 9pm this evening!

Sehwag is looking ominous.. striking at over 100 despite playing in such a calm manner.

Also Gambhir needs to stop mucking around against Swann

They're playing pretty sensibly, defending solidly when England attack the stumps and accepting the freebies that come after. Gambhir was a bit lucky to survive early on though it must be said.

Haha, Sehwag. Looking so comfy right now.

Haven't seen a single delivery hit 130 so far. I know it's hot and all, but ffs it's the first session.

It's ridiculous how Sehwag is only really hitting the bad balls but still can afford to hit a boundary or two pretty much every over.

Obv A lot of it is down to Sehwag being Sehwag and not everyone would've cashed in to the extent of 50 of 45 but the English pacers not helping themselves at all.

This is trash bowling even if they were bowling at Durban.
