That was utterly dumb. Keeper had to come up. Then you can bowl length or short outside off. Chances are he'll hit it for 6 or it'll get missed and you get your dot. What they did was extremely low percentage. The field was too deep as well, if it hits the body it's a run. If he dabs it's a run. If he misses the keeper has a small chance of hitting the stumps.

Decent entertainment.

Kuhn would have done well to stop that ball standing up to the stumps though. Obviously keeping the option open for that sort of delivery. Touch and go to me whether to stand-up or not.

EDIT: Taking into account, Kuhn needed to make a better throw than he did after making the decision to stand back and the mid-off or mid-on needed to get to the stumps quicker.

Ugh. Is there a more tiresome piece of management speak cobblers than "execute my/our skills"? Good job I already have a low opinion of Haddin or he'd have lost marks there.

O'Keefe seems a good lad tho, tbf.

You'd have hoped De Villiers would have either warned him that he was going to bowl there, or just not bowled there, had the keeper come up... but as Scaly said, very, very low percentage - and senseless in the circumstances.

I wonder if any teams have done any practice on these last ball sort of situations?

The fielding side does seem to make it up on the spur of the moment, which isn't really a good idea with all the emotion and so forth. You should already know what your main options are. Whether scores or level or you're leading by 1, 2, 3 or however many runs. It's not like this is a new thing because it happens in ODIs as well, it's not a unique T20 equation.
