That is absolutely ****ing unbelievable. Get Cook the hell out of that slip cordon, don't think I've seen him catch a thing in there. Give Trott a go ffs. And we've lost Swann there. FMD.
I remember Nick Knight waxing lyrical about how good a slip fielder Trott was not long ago. Now I don't really want to take Nick Knight's word for it but if he's even a third as good as Knight reckons then he's better than Cook.

WTF at that umpiring decision. I swear there's nothing in the rules about that at all; he's not doing it deliberately.

The rest of the cordon weren't that excited. Even the crowd calmed down very quickly, so the call must have been very early of dead ball.

Very very very fortunate for both batsmen to be still there.

It's as if it's only a dead ball if it takes a wicket, which is just apocalyptically dire.

Worst umpiring decision I've seen in years, IMO.
