**Official** South Africa in England 2012

How's it feel, mother-****er? #stilltasting10-11
It's like how I imagine an opiate overdose is. Pleasant and mellow whilst life slips slowly away.

Better that having Fat Gray score the runs; that feels like being bludgeoned by an angry caveman.

In the last series these sides played England twice survived with 9 wickets down. If South Africa bowl England out here in the 120 overs they seem set on giving them, then well done to them. If England are 8 or 9 down at stumps tomorrow, I'll wonder why the heck in this day of 20/20 batsmen (and Kallis has been one of the best of those) they couldn't score 220 runs in 40 overs today rather than 60....
Well you can set more defensive fields and bowl more defensively in test cricket than t20 for starters.

I'm always of the belief that if you can't bowl the opposition out in under 120 overs, then you don't deserve to win the game anyway.

Last 10 ovs 35/0 RR 3.50

They're not miles ahead yet on the scoreboard, it's worth taking a bit of time to settle in and wear down the initial burst before accelerating properly.

Well played Kallis.

So good to see the Poms getting ground into the dirt. Reminds me of the halcyon Border/ Taylor/ Waugh days.

And of course 06/07 too.

Nice touch that, pointing to his eye. & kudos to Polly for the exegesis as to what it meant.

Chanceless, I think? Has made it look very easy.

It's crazy that anyone can criticise a bloke after he's made a chanceless ton against what many say is the best attack in world cricket. As cricket fans we are spoilt.

Poor old Petersen. If Kallis was to double ton up (highly unlikely) that'd surely be a first. But I'm pretty sure 100, 0, 200, 100 has happened before
