**Official** South Africa in England 2012

While Parra were dismembering the hapless co-competition leaders, it seems SA has really kicked on runs-wise.

Want to hear Hussain an Botham back with the cheer leading now. From the way they were commentating, every ball was a wicket waiting to happen. Good to hear Gower giving some credit where it's due.
I've never liked Hussain as a commentator. Such a patronising and smug git to the opposition if they're losing.

I'll never forget the description of the 2009 Australian side as "workmanlike and hard working" during the tour match against the Lions.

Hussain and Atherton are literally the only two Sky commentators who deserve a paycheck.

It's the worst of the worst for people to say that SA had such elite bowling conditions but all of a sudden England are operating in a batsman's paradise. Looks pretty overcast out there to me, and Philander had no problem getting it to nip around off the seam.
Not to mention Philander was derided for supposedly only performing in supposed elite conditions
Philander took 1/79, tbf & that was Broad, who is a #9 at the end of the day.

Kallis & Steyn really ripped the heart out England, despite Morkel's 4.

Anyway, said on day one this was a 450 par pitch and stand by that.

Just because he didn't get wickets doesn't mean he wasn't getting movement of an apparently dead pitch.

Finally, the cricket comes on Sky NZ. Just watched some South Africans tear up some Australians in the "Super" Rugby, seems that i'll now be watching some other Yarpies tear up some Englishmen.

Missed first session and a half of yesterday, admittedly, but wasn't get much on day one. Looked well down on pace too.

Short of injury I fully expect Kallis to take more wickets this series. He's a genuinely quality performer in English conditions.

Even on day 1 Philander was getting movement. He was unlucky not to pick Trott up early. The point is that the conditions haven't changed as much as what some posters wish to make out.

Willing to have a signature bet re: the Kallis/Philander issue though.

Sig bets are for jibbers, tbh. Avatar or nothing is the way of the gentleman.

Today's very similar to day one, yesterday every bowler was getting seam or swing and tbf England did up to it raining.
