**Official** South Africa in England 2012

Stapel

International Regular
Half of them are leg byes, TBF.
Yeah, read past that.

Anyway,12 no-balls. that's a lot. And leg-byes are, not always, but often enough, caused by poor line consistency. Not sure that's what going on here, as yesterday it seemed it was a tactic to get Cook out by a leg snick.

Not sure - I can't see SA batting as brainlessly as we have either side of the Trott & Cook partnership.
Different wicket today though, up and down and seaming, there's been mistakes, and the less said about ravi the better, but it's been more understandable with the ball jagging about. 350 is a good score here, particularly if the pitch worsens. Not sure we're gonna get it though.

The ball is moving around a lot though. Everyone of the SA bowlers has been getting it to jag this morning.
its crazy. yesterday we had the saffers are crap. today we have the poms are crap.

even stevens atm

****loads more entertaining than the cook and trott partnership however

Has to be said, Kallis bowling better than I've seen in a while. We really should be coping better though.

Think the stark difference between today's pitch and yesterdays has taken England by surprise here.

Even Kallis is getting it to go a mile here.

Me neither. And I agree with your previous point that the lower order might as well have a dart instead of poking around until they get one that's too good for them.

Thing is though, we gave away soft wickets on Day 1 as well, which meant less leeway today when Steyn turned up.

This is just wonderful from SA. If the gods were just England would've lost at least a couple more.

SA has the perfect overhead conditions for swing, and a ball that is playing along too. I just hope the weather doesn't brighten up too much when England bowls so we can enjoy some similar conditions.

I think in reality though, that SA will bat in sunny and warm conditions.

It's a combination of SA being more focused and aggressive and the atmospheric conditions being far more conducive to movement imo. More movement, more pressure=more difficult batting=wicketz babehhh

Asad Rauf looks like he's auditioning for a role in a zombie movie.

What's with all the sunbloc dude? This is England.

Yeah, possible, but I still think there's uneven bounce that wasn't there yesterday, so I'd fancy our seamers even in the sun, would love Finn to be playing instead of Bop, but there's that hindsight thing. Mind you I did say it before the match.
