Contrived game at Trent Bridge, Notts chasing 351 to win
But not very effectively. 3 down already, including a zero from Hales.
And Taylor batting at 5, which I think is a place too low if he wants to develop his game into what's needed at test level.

Perhaps the beginning of the way back for Ramprakash? Made 37 this morning and hung around a long time. Coupled with some big scores recently in club cricket ... Not happy about him being used an an opener though, it's hardly likely to help an out-of-form batter, but as I've said Surrey seem happy to start every game with six middle-order men for some reason.

maybe because they;ve got no even mildly decent openers? and ramprakash the bad tempered **** is finished imo

right handed batsman has dropped anchored but Sussex should win this. Surrey still 40 odd behind with only four wickets left.

seems unlikely that notts knock off 174 in the last session to win. need an early wicket and a cameo by andre adams!

lol i turn on the commentary and taylor falls straight away and Adams comes in with a runner. 7 men back on the boundary for his first ball and is caught on the long on/off boundary off shahzad.

That was a fantastic win for Sussex. Another important hundred for young Luke Wells securing a big lead and then the spinners chipping away at the 'Rey to win it in the last hour. And such an enjoyable team to beat!

Morgan chalked up a 49-ball ton. Finished with 116 off 54 balls, 11 sixes and 6 fours. Quite handy.

Oh and nearly forgot to mention Saj. 8 overs 0-82. Heh.

Simon Jones ripped Durham a new one today by the looks of it, excellent to see him back in the wickets, 8-23-4 today.

all this rain is a disaster for the counties with the T20 about to start and the shortened fixture list this year. No 4 day or 40 over cricket now for a month.

Was at Lords today, got a free ticket which was a real bonus as the weather threatened to ruin it. Not bad entertainment, Surrey really turning it around in both innings.
