It's mostly that Hernandez and Berbatov are loads direr than people realise and he'll play with Rooney far better than anyone else England have.

IMO, Berbatov is light years ahead of Welbeck - he'd score 20 a year without breaking sweat (which he rarely does tbf)

Late this but social's right. Berbatov's ahead of Welbeck as a player. Just Fergie going for youth and a different style of play. Plus people question Rooney's partnership with Berbatov so you know.
