I think I recognise three words there: "Wikipedia" and "Ra lenh" which I think means "Rise up" or something like it. Or I could be completely wrong with the accents and it means something else entirely...

Maybe it's a message to overthrow Wikipedia for the greater communist good?

Definitely gonna miss big Phil not playing for the Blues any more. Should have played a LOT more test cricket.

yeah that's what i'm thinking. i mean jaques was probably planning to play as a local when he signed with yorks ages ago. but given how like 10 posts above I'm going on about the troubles NSW will have with selection for the rest of this season it just seems like NSW have told Jaques they don't plan to pick him for these upcoming matches (a wrong move - Maddinson was awful in the first half of the season and deserved to be dropped) and so jaques and NSW have made the announcement that he's quitting at the end of the season which of course means when he doesn't get picked for these matches everyone's like "oh well ok then"

Wish Jaques had made the move to QLD instead. We could have used another former NSW player to smash the living crap out of NSW with next time we play them.

I think you have the attack pretty right until Cummins and/or Dougeh are fit again.

tbf it's hard to see how we could play Jaques in that line up. Even if you did drop Maddinson (and I agree it wouldn't be underserved) then I'd rather bring up Patterson, at least now that making the final is pretty much out of the question. Not to mention the likelihood of Haddin and Watson playing a few games. The only guy whose spot you could really see him taking is Moi Moi and with our pace stocks decimated his meatos are pretty much needed.

Fantastic player, but unfortunately he's just never come back completely from his back injury.

will the final isn't out of contention, we're 12 points behind 2nd and from here on all the games we play are against teams above us, meaning if we get on a run on we're bridging that gap pretty quickly. SA beating some teams and maybe some rain would be handy tho. But yeah we can do it. But the batting needs to stop being so ****ing **** in the first innings. So dropping a person who has been hugely involved in that is fair enough. But then we can't afford to have the stats focusing on silverware......

Patterson is a moot point imo. He pretty much only got picked as a last resort and then we dropped him to frickin' play Moz as a specialist batsman, which always ends in disaster, so I think they're just planning to leave him in grade/2nd XI for this year.

with the bowling attack, Copeland/Lalor/Hauritz/SOK/Moz is lacking in firepower, but there doesn't really seem to other options. Abbott took 5 in the 2nd XI game v ACT but he flopped pretty badly in the games we gave him early on in the season so. shouldn't be a problem down in tassie anyway. copeland and lalor to bowl unchanged for the match.

e: plan for watson is to play some grade and then return for aus. not sure if we'll get cummins for any matches. we should imo, but they might try to rush him into the tri series

Surely in terms of workload an ODI is probably easier than a full FC match (especially if Kat is captain)?

Henriques is passable at 6....but only if he has to bowl. Let him focus just on his batting and he'll be horrible :ph34r:

Kat isn't captain remember bro. Perhaps rush wasn't the right word, but I think considering they've picked Harris and McKay in the OD squad it's a pretty good attack. It hardly needs Cummins. So letting Cummins play a couple more FC games ends up as a bigger positive imo. #MaybeBias


edit oh and hey poor rohrer. goes from captaining to be dumped. but unless we want to dump steve smith - or worse play Moz as opening bowler - it has to happen
