Can't play off the front foot or get off strike. Both way bigger issues for mine than his inability to cash in on starts.

Watson return should fix the 3 position either with him playing there or Ponting moving back up. We need Ponting and Hussey to stay on assuming they maintain their form to hopefully allow Warner and Cowan to settle in.

The funny thing is, before this series Sharma could arguably see both Ponting and Clarke as his bunnies.

But I think he'll be seeing Clarke and Ponting flick his deliveries off their pads for four at night 'til the day he dies now...

I remember when I raised those front foot issues before he made his debut. Glad to be proven right, despite others disagreeing because of that OD innings.

Re: declaration, can understand wanting to save the bowlers considering the weather but the forecast for day 5 ain't great, chances of thunderstorms in fact. Myself, short of the bowlers saying they were shattered, I'd have sent them back in.

Siddle bowling magnificently right now too.

Any heat on Marsh yet? Surely his average over the series is the worst amongst batsmen now?

Straight swap for Watson, imo. Don't want another North on our hands for 2 years longer than necessary.
