I don't mind Clarke taking the runs off the deflection if they're going to appeal for obstruction. Stupid rules are stupid and I don't see appealing for obstruction being within the spirit of cricket.
well obstructing the field isn't within the spirit of cricket either. The rule is about 150 years overdue. Just makes no sense to have a obstructing the field rule but not actually have it cover the most likely reason for obstructing the field to happen.

Sehwag's bowled 10 overs out of 69 on the first day of a Test.

Je ne comprends pas
Dilshan and Sehwag are really quite similar

****ing hell, India really let it go again. Props to Ponting and Clarke though. The ****s.
Well when you've only got one decent bowler on a scorching hot day and the pitch is super flat, what more could you expect?

Shows how abjectly poor Marsh is though.

Disagree. This Indian attack could be way better than this with a few solid plans and slightly better discipline.

Malcolm Marshall?
Yeah but I can't understand what the joke about comparing the two is beyond the level of "he was really good, and Yadav is ****".

EDIT: now I think about it that IS pretty much as complex as PP humour gets...

Maybe but Ishant's test average is high despite the fact that he's now reasonably experience, Yadav is only young and is up and down like a yoyo, while Ashwin is possibly not suited to these pitches and it's a first day of a test in any case.

Don't think he's **** tbh - he's young and raw, bowling on a flat deck on a stinking day to two blokes in epic form, and he's had a brain fart. Wouldn't be the first young bloke it's happened to.

Yeah I'm not denying that they're ****, but I reckon they definitely have it in them to be distinctly mediocre.
