I agree copping criticism comes with the job, but it wasn't criticism here. He should not have done it but he is still a youngster and copping abuses about family can have such an effect.

His problem here, like in his debut series in the Windies is that he's been batting in ODI mode - not that he's been swinging at everything but while defending on the front foot he's been playing at balls well outside his offstump swinging away. In his last inning he seemed to have corrected it initially, but once he got some runs under his belt he went back to ODI mode and got out.Despite all his failures and whingey outbursts, he hasn't struggled with the short ball at least
