Seriously, there is no reason to have such a long tail. When you decide that Shakib, Mahmudullah and Nasir are all amongst your best seven batsmen (and I certainly wouldn't disagree with them there; I think they got the top seven near enough to spot on for this game) then you don't need to pick four specialist bowlers as well.

Should have just picked another bat and stuck him at 8 IMO.
The next batsman is Siddique though who could only slot in at the top of the order. Naeem would be the other option I guess.

Tamim
Nazimuddin
Nafees/Siddique
Siddique/Nafees
Mahmudullah
Nasir
Shakib
Rahim
Mortaza
Sunny
Shahadat

To be the next Test team? Not sure if it looks right to me.

No team is ever really going to look right when your best bowlers are also your best batsmen, but that's what we have here. If you've got extra spots in your team it's better to fill them with batsmen than bowlers because the law of diminishing returns applies a lot more to bowlers than batsmen.

Rahim and Shakib shouldn't be batting that low though; I'd stick Naeem in there at 8. If he scores some runs Mahmudullah style he can get a go up the order.

Stating the obvious, but would be really disappointed if Pakistan don't win it from here. Hopefully bad light doesn't get in our way.

Yeah it's a bit disappointing that the next best batsman in the country is a top order player (Hom and Jahurul probably the next best after that are also top order with only Naeem being a genuine lower to middle) but you are right that Shakib and Rahim need to bat higher. Naeem probably helps the team balance the best. Or possibly putting Mahmudullah back down the order.

Will be interesting to see what the team is in their next series.

Which is when btw?

30 overs should be possible in the day inspite of the bad light. Target of 103 should be easy. Its Pakistan's game to lose from here.
