Pakistan are still well in this though, Bangers have an unusually long tail. They tend to have a pretty decent 8 and 9 to come in but Naeem isn't playing and Marmadoola and Nasir have been (quite rightly) promoted. A wicket in the first hour of the next session could bring on a collapse quick time.

Yeah it's hard to tell with this Pakistan team. Misbah has brought in a backbone to the Pakistani batting lineup but also taken away their teeth as well.

Yeah, playing Rehman is just pointless if it means Hafeez is only going to bowl 3 out of the first 65 innings in the second innings. I'm yet to be convinced that Rehman is a better bowler than Hafeez so he's just occupying a role that could be filled by someone else in the team.

Agreed. The teeth should be in your bowling lineup.

Mohammed Akram they don't need Kaneria (especially against England), just give Hafeez the ball! Junaid Khan should be fit for England so that will improve them but still not a very good attack, question marks over Gul and Cheema.

Gul is a decent Test first change bowler but hasn't really taken to being Pakistan's attack leader.
