Well, as soon as you said 'Good old fashioned batting', really.
how did the comparison with Javed Miandad come in?
I think he is blind tbh. Another Ashoka de silvaHe is an awful umpire by the looks of it. Gave Nazmuddin (sp) out yesterday when Cheema and the cordon were not even that interested. Just a polite appeal and finger was up in a shot.
If we wanted him in top form v England we should left him and brought in some youngersters, or #Fawad Alam#.Azhar can bat as he likes, as long as he makes his regular 50s. Plus this is batting practise for him and he needs to be in top form against England.
Bit of a fallacy to say he is old fashioned, he isn’t as he plays every innings, every situation in the same manner. He limits himself, don’t know if that is through choice or maybe he isn’t very good. An old fashioned player when faced with statistically with one of the most attacks of all time on a road would not tap back half volleys, Azhar does that. There are only 2 players in the Pak top order who have more than 2 gears.haha......that is the way Azhar ali plays.....good old fashioned batting.
Don't mind it that much if he makes a solid score
we have been tortured by the likes of Imran Farhat and Faisal Iqbal for years believe me this batting line up despite its dourness still feels like the 80's west indies batting.Hafeez. Use to just be Younis Khan but Mohammed has been really good in the past 18 months or so albeit against mostly poor attacks but when faced with them, Hafeez knows what to do.
zRamiz Raja on Twitter said:Pak batting is excruciating to watch! If they bat like this against England they will be marginalised for sure. Where is class & intent?
