Nafees misses out, 97. Great partnership though, given Bangladesh a chance of doing something in the match.

If the skipper gets a 50 they have a proper total on the board for once and something to bowl at, be interesting to see their mindset then.

watched this morning before it went red button and the wicket was so so flat. nothing in it for the spinners and gul and cheema needed more seam support. pak will get 400 min so these two need to go big.

was out for the day and returned to see Bangladesh show some spine. FINALLY.

Is the wicket really as flat as TT boy suggests?

I do not really know what is the hype about Eng Vs Pak.
Its certainly 2-1 odds for England since they have got a very balanced and well disciplined team, everyone tends to do his job while the Pakistanis have to rely on heroics of Ajmal and Akmal/Hafeez/Afridi.

Also considering the downfall of Pakistani Fast-Bowling after the spot fixing Fiasco. We aren't really capable of getting batsmen like Trott/Pieterson/Cook out unless Ajmal turns out to be a huge success.
Its like Ajmal/Afridi vs Eng XI which makes it a bit interesting.

I think this series will bring our fans back to the ground a bit although they already have lists of excuses present #hadtherenotbeenspotfixing

I think everyone is being harsh on Gul. His bowling has improved in Tests ever since he started opening with the new ball.

Pakistan should have added another seamer for this match instead of Abdul Rahman (should have been Talha).

The problem is not with Gul or Talha or Cheema. It is with the pitch.

Lets assume the following.

Seaming Tracks.
English Bowling > Pakistani Bowling

Spinning Tracks.
Pakistani Bowling > English Bowling
English Batting = Pakistan Batting [Against Spin] (England slightly ahead because of their disciplined line-up)

Batting Tracks.
Cook > Pakistani Batting.

you get the idea? That is why I say, Ajmal and Afridi are the key otherwise England has this.

lol....dwta

Might argue that Bell + KP > Pak batting.

Cook is over rated
If 18 centuries in the middle 20s is over-rated then I do not know what else is rated.
I rather feel KP being over-rated in LOI. He has just fallen below average since that T20 World Cup.

Whenever Cook has been faced with a decent challenge, he has faltered.

Quite an FTB type Cook
