***Official*** New Zealand in Australia 2011

International Debutant
BTW, Bracewell really deserved the MOTM. It was embarrassing as an Aussie to see Warner accept it even though his innings was so meritorious.

The more I think about the less faith I have in Watson actually. I mean he's **** against spin, he's pretty bad re not getting out lbw, bowled, he doesn't really make much attempt to keep the ball on the ground leading to him getting caught at gully all the time, is always running people out and if he does make it past 50 he loses his ****ing mind anyway

Best moment as a New Zealand cricket fan ever, by a long, long, long margin. I'll be buzzing for weeks now, it's just awesome.

I will add though, Warner picking up the man of the match award was a farce, Trent Boult was robbed.

I honestly don't think Watson is that bad against spin from a technical aspect, I think (like most of his problems) it's more mental. He just likes dominating too much and uses his 'get out' shot far too often against them.

btw let's move the aus selection issues stuff to the other thread, where it belongs strictly speaking.

you don't think his strokeplay is a bit too limited and he's too eager to push forward without really reading the length properly?

Back to Watson, I wouldn't mind him at #6 instead of Hussey. Marsh if fit, could open.
Yeah, since the experiment of opening with Watson has proven to be a startling success in all forms of cricket, let's move him to no. 6.
