Siddle's been so weird this series. Has spent the last year bowling all kinds of dross, but IMO this series he's stood out in a way that a 20-odd Test veteran should in a green attack.
cummins and Copeland have both spoken about McDermott's emphasis on bowling full. Been a big change in Siddle in that regard.

Mind you, I hope he hits Sehwag and Gambhir.

NZ will get an early wicket to get everyone's hopes up, it's guaranteed.

Australia to win by 9 wickets. It will be painful to watch.

**** off sunshine. Just another Australian conspiracy like the two balls that didn't swing last night, the non-catch down the legside and Guptill being ****

I find Bracewell's bowling quite amusing for some reason. Just rocks up to the crease, very simple, and when he's bowling well basically bowls exactly the same outswinger each ball. Looks like a decent 4th seamer if that's how we want to use him.

His bowling action has also changed a bit since I saw him on TV maybe 12 months ago, when he looked to have a higher arm action, more attacking and more bounce, though also less control.

You hoped he would get through it, but its pretty sad when Martin makes you his bunny. Poor Hughes, i don't see how we can retain him, and if Ponting fails here its probably the end for him too. Watson and Marsh should come back, but should Usman retain his place? Lots of questions, not many answers.

I'd say Usman hasn't done enough to push Ponting out yet.

Khawaja to make an oh so stylish and compact 12(68) and perversely have no pressure put on him for his spot.

Goodbye Test Career. :(

I'm working on a bit of a theory with Hughes. Can't help but feel the demand he remodels his technique has been a backwards step. Would prefer him to go back to his older game where he attempts to back away and lace that through point.

Ah well, not the time, another thread maybe.

There is no way Ponting will be dropped. He will be there on Boxing Day.
