I love how people say this the worst tail without even seeing how these guys can bat. Lyon top scored in the 47ao didn't he? No bunnies at all in this tail.

Yeah, that's the thing. Siddle is too high at 8 but everyone can bat . Lyon is a good #10 at worst (could be pushing decent #9 status) and he's batting 11, Starc's at 10 and averages 23 in First Class cricket and Pattinson bats in the middle order at club level.

4 decent to poor 9s isn't the worst tail ever to play cricket, obviously a long way off what Australia has been used to.

2nd Test vs SL, I remember Lyon coming in and sweeping everything for four. Was brilliant.

Being a realist would be saying "Pattinson has looked pretty good so far". But all day you've been harping on about Australia as if Clarke was Bradman reincarnate and Haddin a better version of Gilchrist. It's just really dire to read so many OTT posts in a day by a decent Kiwi bloke.
