Yeah, there might be 1/2 selections that maybe slightly contentious, but all are understandable and no major wtf's. Indian selectors at least doing their jobs better here than their Australian counterparts.:p

The best part is all of Harbhajan, Sreesanth, Yuvraj and Raina have been done away with together.
I don't understand 1 thing, why is the team for the Australia tour selected so early? The ODIs against West Indies are yet to start, there is a lot of time left before the Australia tour,
even the Ranji trophy is going on, they should have had a looked at how some of the players are performing in the Ranji matches,

Zaheer isn't fit, even if he is fit on time, I doubt he will be able to bowl for a full test,
he has also gained too much of weight, he needs to loose some weight and recover completely before playing,
I don't think its a good idea to take a risk by playing him.

Harbhajan, Sree and Raina getting dropped is a positive sign.

Irfan Pathan has performed really well since he has recovered, and he is fully fit, played the whole IPL followed by 2 domestic series, he is doing well in the Ranji trophy, has picked 14 wickets in 4 innings he has bowled,Irfan instead of an unfit and fat Zaheer would have been a better option.

Aaron has looked impressive but he isn't that effective in the longer formats, even in his first class career, he hasn't had that much of success in the 4 day games that he has played, he is a very good limited overs bowler, but he is not ready for the longer formats, he should be picked only for ODIs for now, and Yadav should be picked for tests, it would also help both of them to maintain fitness and not play too much of cricket and end up becoming injury prone.

 Sorry, but wtf?

First it was an elbow problem. Then it was a "blunt chest". Now it's a broken rib.

Poor guy's gonna be a paraplegic by this time next week.
