**** me.

So...

um...

Warner
Hughes
Khawaja
Ponting
Clarke
Hussey
Haddin
Copeland
Siddle
Pattinson/Cutting/Bollinger/???
Lyon
Bollinger is still injured, so it won't be him. Pattinson looks likely; took the most wickets here, has played ODIs for Australia and went on the tour of Sri Lanka with the Test side as well.

Dunno how they handle the loss of Watson. WIthout an extra pace bowler Lyon will need to bowl more but he isn't a containing bowler.

Copeland would be extremely unlucky to miss out, surely they won't go in with 2 spinners or both Cutting and Pattinson.

I suppose but it still puts strain on Copes to bowl alot of overs. Warner batting for a test spot here, wish this was on tv
He loves the long spells, he just bowled 11 overs straight in the current match. God knows how many he bowled in that Shield final, the commentators kept mentioning Cummins mammoth overs, Copeland was well past that.

Over 4.6: Southee to Warner, no run, played and missed outside off
Over 4.3: Southee to Warner, no run, played and missed outside off
Over 4.1: Southee to Warner, no run, played and missed outside off

Encouraging from Southee.

Edit:
Over 6.2: Southee to Warner, one run, DROPPED, looking to drive as Ryder looks to go ful stretch to his left and drops a tough chance
Oh dear

Not Terrible
So, worst of all time to total ****e?
I used all the commentated matches on cricinfo and worked it out, the runs aren't that surprisingly in favour of Martin against pace where if he got any bat on it, the ball could run to the boundary.

I'm pretty curious as to how many pre-proper commentary of these runs were edges because there were plenty.

Martin averages an amazing 3 runs an innings against pace bowlers and a paltry 1.5 against spinners.

However in terms of balls faced Martin averages 11 against pace an innings and 17 against spin.

This may not seem that pronounced but thats because Martin was ludicrously bad against Warne, if you take him out of the equation Martin averages 24 balls per innings against spinners only getting out to them 6 times. Kaneria and Ajmal hampered his figures a bit as he was averaging sans Warne 50 balls an innings at one stage.

Warner is hitting a lot of fours. Seeing as he will probably play the tests this is a little ominous. Need to get him early (and not drop catches)

He only stopped at 11 because of the rain. Could have easily doubled that.

56.2 and 23 overs in the Shield Final

With the lost time yesterday looks like their just looking to score quick though hence more chances.
