this Silva guy always score mountain of runs whenever Pakistan A and SL A play each other not surprised to see him bat well.

I really think Paranavitana ought to go. He has a solid game that's frustrating to bowl to, but I just tire of a batsman simply not scoring while he's at the crease, regardless of what the opposition is doing.

Usually you're forgiving of inconsistent players when on their day they can produce something special, but with Paranavitana, whether or not he hangs around usually just means whether he scores nothing or a slow 40-odd. What concerns me most about him is the feeling that we may have seen the best he can do already, and it's just not that great.

And FFS can we stop this attitude that a team doesn't give a **** because they're losing for every ****ing match. So annoying.

Batting order would be much better like this. If we're playing Dilshan he has to open imo.

Lahiru Thirimanne
Tillakaratne Dilshan
Kumar Sangakkara
Mahela Jayawardena
Dinesh Chandimal
Angelo Mathews
Kaushal Silva

Agreed apart from that Samaraweera deserves another two series. He's at his best ICC ranking (points wise) ever, and is even in front every one except Sanga. ****ing poor selection by selecturds.

Agree that Samaraweera deserves a game. Would be counter productive to bring him back though if the reason to leave him out was to give the youngsters a game.

Chandimal would do alright imo. If Dilshan can make it at test level then Chandimal definitely can.

Surely that can't be the case? I said the same about England in the India one day series and was told I was totally wrong as players pride will stop that etc....

Maybe some people need to stop jumping in and face facts that some players are lacking the heart at present. Maybe it is a case of after lord mayors show after the World Cup and they are finding it tough to raise their game. Or maybe after WC, IPL and Champions League as well as various tours with their national teams they are just burnt out?
agree 100%.
players aren't robots ffs. Confidence, morale, attitude play a huge role in the performance of a player (mental side of things are just as important).

most of the Sl batsmen threw their wickets away on a middle-east batting pitch....(3rd time on the trot)

not sure about that. they did not have gayle when they drew a series with pakistan. and chanderpaul did not play a starring role in it, as far as i can remember.
