All bowlers get the vote from me

That caricature of Gooch looks more like Javed Miandad
Same as Smali. An All time team Bowling lineup IMO with Hadlee playing the allrounder role.

Lillee in the first battle. I've plenty of respect for Gooch, but DKL is pretty much the archetype modern fast bowler. And his mo' is way cooler.

Sanga in the second. I loved watching Warnie bowl but as I've said before I never particularly warmed to him personally, and Kumar is such a gun.

Third was the toughest for me. I think Holding has as strong a case as anyone for the title of coolest cricketer ever, but I nominated Davo and have always had a huge soft spot for him.

I'm a big, big admirer of Paddles but it has to be Bradman next up. He had his faults like any man, but from an Aussie POV he's simply the greatest cricketing hero there is. Any Australian voting against him should have their citizenship revoked TBH.

In the last one, well I like Dizz as much as the next man but it's Macko, and by plenty.

Plenty of his fellow countrymen who shared a dressing room with him wouldn't have crossed the street to piss on him were he on fire, tbf.

Matter of record Fingleton and O'Reilly formed friendships with DRJ based on a mutual disdain for "the little bastard".

difficult to separate the two completely, tbh. despite hating the man o'reilly was certainly very effusive with his praise of bradman's cricketing abilities (obviously).
