Over 27.4: McDonald to Forrest, SIX, short of a length and Forrest has picked that up with ease and cleared the deep square leg boundary for the first six of the season

Reardon is one of those players whose average actually perfectly sums him up. as if he has 6 50's

Cricinfo fail. They have Handscomb listed as 12th man, and no player profile page at all. Poor bugger. 177th player to represent Victoria.

How close is Rob Quiney to Australian selection? Providing he has another season like the previous one. He's a natural stroke player, scores quickly, plays on both sides of the wicket equally well and he is also bloody good to watch. However, he does have some issues against the moving ball. I remember watching him bat against the new ball in a shield final and deadset, the bloke looked completely uncertain and dire.

Should definitely be in the frame in one day cricket; I called for him to picked in the ODI squad two or three seasons ago before he'd even established himself as a fixture in the Shield side. One of the better Shield batsmen around these days too but I don't think he'd be any sort of Test success and if he ever was one of the best six FC batsmen in the country (without some serious improvement) then it'd just be a poor indictment of Australia's batting stocks more than anything else.

ROB ROB ROB! I love him! Wish he did better in the IPL, quality player, happy he got runs tonight, but he needs to score big at this stage of his career and be THE man....not just a good supporting man.

Jake Fawcett and Adam Crossthwaite to the Redbacks confirmed,Tim Lang retired.
Link? Everybody knew Crossthwaite was going to head to SA at some stage. Fawcett is an interesting one ( if true ), scores heavily in grade cricket.

I'm a bit concerned about the Redbacks bowling line-up. Didn't Cassell get a contract? He should definitely be in the first class team. George, Christian and Lyon are the only definites in that bowling line-up. Richardson, Putland and Haberfield will be fighting it out, I guess.
