You'd expect Dernbach to start well, but once he's got used to and they can pick the slower ball easily he's fodder.

Bresnan embarrassingly poor considering he's the most experienced bowler.

You can get around that in a T20, as if you spread out the first two overs, and maybe do two at the end, you're likely to be bowling to different batsman. Another reason why he can work in T20 but not ODI, I'd think.
