This is pretty bloody ridiculous.

Almost as bad as what happened at lunch - players go off for rain and it's decided, while they're off, that the lunch break will be deemed to start, not as of the time when they went off, not as of when the decision was made, but in 10 bloody minutes' time. This is meant to be a sport ffs, and a spectator sport at that.

He's told the umpires he's bringing his seamers on, the light is below a certain reading and the floodlights are only now vein switched on. And so, to protect batsmen who are respectively on 233 and 89, against a popgun attack, they all troop off. Dhoni not at fault at all - well within his rights.

How can Dhoni be criticised? He is forced to bowl two pie chuckers instead of bringing on his faster pie chucker because of the light and the umpires being *****s.

EDIT: If Mishra is going to bowl short long hops, Gambhir might be justified in hurting him.
