Who got injured?I'd genuinely be surprised if he hasn't cracked his elbow. Blew up like a balloon afterwards as well.
GhambirWho got injured?
Gambhir fielding at short leg. Prior absolutely middled a sweep, Gambhir instinctively turned his back and wore it right on the point of the elbow.Who got injured?
Indeed. Could be taken either way though. India are suffering from the paucity of their attack, England are benefitting from their depth of batting.I guess this innings will resurrect the 5/4 bowlers argument.
FMD I hope it's nothing seriousGambhir fielding at short leg. Prior absolutely middled a sweep, Gambhir instinctively turned his back and wore it right on the point of the elbow.
Just seen it on replay. Does it count as a dropped catch?Ouch, that has to hurt. Be amazed if he stays on after that.
Probably getting one of the few hours of sleep he ever gets, he'll cry when he realises he missed it.Surprised Burgey has not commented on the Gambhir injury so far![]()
Somewhere, Burgey is raising a glass.Gambhir fielding at short leg. Prior absolutely middled a sweep, Gambhir instinctively turned his back and wore it right on the point of the elbow.
I challenge you to go for a week without mentioning that. The three players who missed the Test tour of the Caribbean are all injured or ill....Zaheer, Sachin, Gambhir.
So, there is a God after all....

Actually, I was bringing up this argument when the declaration was made.I'm pretty sure that team England figured that an early wicket or two that night would put India into huge trouble and they figured that was the best way to get India all out cheaply. Of course they ended up bowling well and India didn't make too many after surviving those 6 overs.
If England were 2/110 from 34 overs no one would be bringing up this argument. This is the same English team that has been producing big scores on such a regular basis that the last thing Strauss and co. expected was a dour 5/80 from 34 overs.
Wow. You seem like a top bloke...The three players who missed the Test tour of the Caribbean are all injured or ill....Zaheer, Sachin, Gambhir.

Lol. +1I challenge you to go for a week without mentioning that.
I wonder how long it'll last. Can just imagine him still making voodoo posts about Gambhir in 2016 because of a Test he missed five years beforehand and the next generation of CricketWebbers scratching their heads.I challenge you to go for a week without mentioning that.
