i'd sooner play Moises as a bowler in front of Cummins. He should be fighting it out with maybe ****ley as the 3rd or so in reserve. Nothing against him, but really. ODers maybe but a reformed 2nd XI comp should be his play-ground for next season at least.

usman clearly trying his best to keep Smith in the test team

Quality stuff. Good to see him so hungry.

His average is going up crazy quick.

All credit to Warner, he has shown well and truly that he the concentration for the longer form. I'm sure its frustrated him to no end that he was pigeon holed in previous seasons as a short form only player, when he fully knew he had the game to succeed in the longer forms too, but wasn't given the opportunities. Hope he makes up of lost time, we need the younger guy making BIG hundreds, like all the guys did in the 90's at shield level- Hayden, Elliott, Blewett, Langer, Love, Lehmann, Martyn, Ponting etc. Not seeing guys over the past few season really cash in when getting to 100.

Some might say it's only Zimbabwe but try telling that to the future captain and incumbent number 3. Just puts into perspective both Finch and Warner's knock, while it's a flat deck they still had to apply themselves and it's not like the Zimbabwe bowlers have given up.

Since the 289 run partnership has ended Australia 'A' have lost 5/111. I know Australia 'A' are truly in command, but the middle order collapsing after such a dominating performance is very frustrating. This could have been the perfect opportunity for the likes of Ferguson, Paine, Khawaja or Marsh to make a commanding century against a tiring attack.

Pretty hopeless card today, but Warner (and Finch) take a bow. Very happy to see him prove he's got the game for long innings as well as making quick runs when that's what's needed. Looking forward to a big Shield season from him.

Uzi can pretty much forget the test side for a while I reckon. He's played Smith right into the side.

Decent batting by Krezja and Starc towards the end to gain a 198 run lead.

Krezja should hold a higher average with the bat. He has one of the best techniques of all the lower order batsmen across Australia.

Prefer his bowling to improve first obviously.
