Seriously though (not related to this thread), why do you bait Indian posters so much? Surely it gets as boring for you as it does for everyone else?

Sydney 08 was pretty special in its own right tbf, simply because it's the kind of close-run game which we seem to be on the wrong side of most times.

Sydney 08 really was a quality cricket match if you ignore the other bull**** around it.

This is just an incredibly funny pic, mainly because I couldn't find one of Tubby taking the series-winning catch in the WI in '95.

For Aus there is a lot to choose from. In fact just pretty much being a fan from 99 to 07 is good enough. They barely ever lost a series other than once in a while here and there.

For SA however my favorite moment has to be when we chased down 434. Legendary match!

@ Top_****: Those first two sprung to mind for me immediately as well, and the other was Steve Waugh's Perfect Day century at the SCG.

The eye-bleeding ****iness of the DVD taints that innings forever, tbh.

(yeah, I bought it)

Aside from the ones aleady mentioned, I'd also mentioned India's 1-wicket win over Australia in Mohali 2010.

It was not just another Laxman special, and not just another in the list of Australian defeat in India -- I think this one was really just rubbing it in.

I support New Zealand and don't understand what this thread means. :(

(Though seriously 3-0 vs. Aus in the CH)

assing to already stated wc win, would like to add a couple of personal moments. the dhaka independence cup win in 98 is pretty close to my heart. sachin's 200 against sa at rajkot, kokata 01, us winning test no.1 ranking, all up there.

personally last 3 or 4 yrs have been redemptiom time for following this team singlemindedly through the mediocrity, occassional direness and sporadic genius of the 90s and 00s. Sachin finally coming off and stamping once and for all his authority and place in world cricket, india capping off it's rise in all formats, with the elusive world cup win. it's been quite an emotional rollercoaster.

to be ****ing honest, I can identify with frustrations of many a english posters here for we went through the same phase. really don't mind losing to u guys as long as you play well enough to deserve it, like 05. I have had my full fill as a fan to last a lifetime, and in life, nothing's permanent.

For me, the Oval 2009 was better than any of '05 because of how much I'd got into cricket over the four years. That must be my best moment, partly because it was so unexpected.

2010 never really had a single elated moment (besides the first 20 minutes or so in Adelaide), it was more like an extended smugness trip. Which of course I enjoyed every second of.
