Yeah, I agree. Although during the test series Sri Lanka kept leaving alone some pretty easy scoring opportunities off leg-side trash. So maybe it's a sign of which format a given player prioritises.

Yeah that's fair enough as far as Cook is concerned. I actually made that comment after K'wetter had a massive hoick at one way outside leg. Just something that's been bugging me for a while.

'wetter's got a decent cover-drive on him. Though Kulasekera is the kind of pace that allows you to get on to the front foot.

The bowling has been beyond a joke so far.

Bit better from Kula just as I said that.

Samit's not good enough a batsman to get into the side as a specialist. So if they want to play four seamers then I think it's fair enough to leave him out. We'll see how good a decision it is when we bowl.

Some nice shots coming out now. Trott could play these exact same shots on a slower outfield with better fielding, and be pilloried for slow scoring.

Edit - Gone now anyway. Good ball.

He averaged 45 last season and and 43 this season in list a cricket.

Which is more than Cook, KP, and Morgan.

It's unfair to read into his overall average as he was used as a hitter by Notts for a few years!

The Scotland v Netherlands game is going down to the wire. Worth keeping an eye on it on Cricinfo.

Nice 50 from Kes. Looked a bit skittish early on but has been playing really well since the restart.

Partnership 50 too, in 6 overs. It's all going suspiciously well.
