Gower getting antsy over the batsmen taking too much time. He plainly wasn't present on day five in Cardiff in 2009...

This innings just makes his record even more inexplicable tbh. He's just looked so utterly untroubled even when the ball was doing a bit and England were bowling well for long periods.

Don't mind watching a great player like Sangakkara get a superb hundred, but allowing Samaraweera to keep his average above 50 is both criminal and annoying.

This has just been excellent batting. We've bowled very well in spaces but you just can't keep up the constant pressure when the batsman's on top.

Sometimes you've just got to admit to being beaten by the better player. It's Sangakkara's day.

Samaraweera has gotten 69 off 97. Randiv got 32.

The bowling has not been great today.

The England bowlers won't be happy with how they've bowled today, there's been decent deliveries and overs but no consistency.
Today's just felt like a game meandering to a draw, when it shouldn't and tbf there has been moments of this all way through this series, obviously brought on to a certain extent by the weather.

Samaraweera isn't as bad a batsman as people seem to think he is. He isn't particularly pretty to watch but he certainly gets the job done.

Could have easily drawn this series. If it wasn't for that stupid collapse in the first game we could have done it with ease.
Yeah, that was a shame. Apart from that embarrassment, the visiting batsmen have given a good account of themselves. Even in the first innings here, it was splendid bowling that got them out, rather than poor cricketing discipline.

Prasanna's batting must have given great joy to Sri Lankan supporters. One would hope that his career sees a new brighter chapter now.

I don't think he's a bad batsman, I just think that his average of 54 is horribly misrepresentative when I can think of a whole swathe of players with mid-to-high 40s averages who are better. He's also scored a rather large percentage of his runs with genuine edges at catchable height to third man.

Just curious, how many unbeaten runs does Sanga need to hit in this innings before his record in England moves to "acceptable"?
