Frankly don't understand why Dravid can't open. He comes in at 1 down, and for a major part of his career, it was as good as being an opener given the quality of our openers. I don't think it should be a major adjustment for him either.

Its not an adjustment in terms of technique or anything. Its all mental. In his head. He's opened plenty of times (2006 vs. Pakistan, 2007/08 vs. Australia etc.).

That time in Australia was **** though. He opened to allow Yuvraj to come in and then Yuvraj did sweet **** all.

Considering the Indian injuries, this is the best chance Windies will have on a bouncy Sabina pitch. Very excited tbh

What are the injuries to Sehwag, Cochlear and the Elfin **** all about? Have they been rested/ put on ice for minor things, or are they quite serious? Must say I'd not heard much so I presume it's the former, as a precaution ahead of the England series.

Sehwag had shoulder surgery in May.

Yeah, indeed. And given Dravid's in pretty poor form himself and realistically shouldn't be a nailed on certainty to make the team, messing with his head would be a terrible idea IMO. The weaknesses in his technique that have developed over the last year or so relating to how he falls over to the off side and both defends at balls he doesn't need to and plays around his front pad would be exaggerated if he was opening as well. He needs a good series here to get his balance right and some confidence back; that's why he's on the trip I'd say.

Tendulkar and Gambhir I presume. Burgey is on a nickname basis with them these days.

Calling on a Junior Bravo or Sarwan century this test match to lead the Windies to an innings and 200 run victory

All well and good that but Roach isn't bowling well at present, Ravi could revert to type and Sammy takes the place of either Fidel or Russell, two players who would be more than handy on a quick Sabina pitch. And if it is so quick, they should just drop the spinner. Bishoo is hardly going to run through the Indians anyhow.

Hope Kumar debuts. Should have debuted a longtime ago, especially when any old U19 kid gets a look-in.

Bounce will assist Bishoo
