I know SL are absolutely crud, but can someone justify odds of $1.48 for the draw?

That seems kind of generous considering the weather. Is completey sunshine predicted for days 4 and 5 or something?

Fine tomorrow, probably get 100 overs tomorrow, then rain again monday.

I'd put it down to the fact that the ball is doing plenty - we're going at a wicket every 7 overs at the moment, so if we get 30 overs in tonight and 100 overs in tomorrow we could be all but there.

Certainly not a 30% chance of a result, though.

Probably been mentioned here before but Strauss' form should really be under the microscope

The guy has barely been able to buy a run for more than 18 months unless it's on tracks like a Gabba road

Having said that, he's a genius at the toss (if it's a green-top, he either wins it and bowls or has ****wits like Ponting bat anyway) so his failures have meant nothing anyway

Quite an interesting conversation on SKY about the structure of International cricket and the IPL, between Gower, Atherton and Warne. Good stuff.

I think it's the "Cardiff factor", myself. I suppose the reasoning is that if they can fold like they did in less than 25 overs the draw is never a shoo in.

Does look a good bet at those odds tho, it must be said.

Best case scenario for England is bat until tea tomorrow, put 400+ on the board and hope they get enough overs to finish the job.

Looks a draw, but...

Thanks for the info fellas. :)

Don't think I can help myself. Will have a little flutter on the draw.

If it goes awry I can just bag the **** out of my Lankan mates to make up for it I guess.

Sanga is generally pretty defensive as a captain.. tends to make some baffling calls from time to time.

Perera.

Just doesn't look a Test bowler to me. Kind of like if England played Yardy in Tests IMO. Why don't they play Randiv?

Perera looks desperately short at this level, doesn't he? Quick enough on the gun, but straight up and down and no bounce or carry.

I'd be declaring on a 200 lead, batting beyond 400 is just wasting time IMO

Amazing what a scratchy score of 70 can do for a players confidence.

Absolutely loving this, and the crowds reaction.
