I think 2-1 to England sounds about right. Draw at Lords, England to take out Trent Bridge and Edgbaston, India to get the consolation at The Oval.
Yes, thinking the same 2-1, if there's 2 ground where England's attack will do the business, it's those 2. It would take a collapse, from either side, to produce a result at Lords but you never know. You never know what your going to get at the Oval, batsman's paradise, fast, bouncy track or a decent Test wicket, that deteriorates, over the 5 days.

Wasn't me, I've not made any avatar bets yet as I'm going for the same format that I had with ripper for the Ashes.
Yeah, just checked the other thread; looks like I made an avatar bet with Marcuss. I think we might as well start a new thread for avatar bets. It can always be moved if a sub-forum is created.

as great as India batting is it depends on the form and fitness of Bhajji and Zaheer.I predict a 1-1 or a close 2-1 to either side.

Yeah sorry mate. Shouldn't have an opinion. Just tell me what I should write.

Mind you, given my tipping prowess I've just secured India an easy win, so be happy :)

Before that -home and away against blackcaps in 02-03
In SA in 01

By the same token, when was the last time Australia lost 3 Tests at home by an innings? Point is, it could happen as could India not winning a Test. Not a ridiculous possibility.

You're basing your judgement just on england's perfromance against 1 team in one partciular series.

No, I'm not saying they're directly related. It's just an example to demonstrate that what would have seemed a ridiculous pre-series actually happened. And India not winning a Test in England isn't even a ridiculous possibility. Remote, sure, but not ridiculous.

I'm basing my opinion on England having an attack that is so far ahead of India's it's punishing.

Look, it all comes down to Zaheer, because India's support bowlers aren't as good as England's. If Zaheer is injured or for some reason doesn't fire, I can't see India bowling England out twice.

What's more, if Zaheer is on song (and there is no reason to think he won't be) then I can see Anderson cancelling him out. He's in great nick right now, and bowling at home. If his swing doesn't trouble Sehwag early then Tremlett at six foot one thousand will probably do the rib cage thing which sorted him out against Australia last year in India on flatter decks.

Certainly India's batting is strong - stronger than England's, but I really think England has the attack to bowl them out for manageable totals.
